Transplants: Two Brothers Navigate Life in New York City

A rejected job application, a broken MetroCard, and a street name nobody can seem to pronounce correctly. In this clip from Transplants, two Midwestern brothers take stock of what it really means to start over in New York City — the frustrations, the self-doubt, and the moments of unexpected beauty that make you think maybe it’s all going to work out after all.

Transplants is an eight-episode dramedy about brothers Alex and Dave, who leave their family and their dead-end jobs behind to start new lives in the Big Apple. Every small-town kid thinks the grass is greener, but in New York there is no grass — just cement and asphalt. Over time, through a slum of an apartment, a shrinking savings account, and more than a few hard lessons, they start to see a path forward — as long as they stick together.
